The session stresses the importance of using formative assessments, either formal or informal, to drive instruction. Participants will experience several formative assessment strategies or tools to use in the classroom, with and without technology. Participants will understand the difference between descriptive and evaluative feedback and how impactful effective feedback can be on students’ learning.
I have been in education for 33 years. I taught 8th Math for 17 years, then became campus administrator, district administrator and for the last 7 years have served as a Math Curriculum Support Consultant for Region 10.
