The seven strands of the essential knowledge and skills for English language arts and reading adopted in 2017 are intended to be integrated for instructional purposes. Participants in this session will carefully review the seven strands of the new ELAR TEKS, targeting academic vocabulary, academic progressions, and the interconnected nature of strands and SEs.
